New Orleans Jazz Band of Cologne - Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (Live) (2019) [Official Digital Download 24/96]

The "New Orleans Jazz Band of Cologne" can look back on more than 60 years of history, mostly as "Maryland Jazz Band of Cologne". At the request of the bandleader Doggy Hund, who died in the autumn of 2015, the band changed their name and presents itself since the beginning of 2016 as "New Orleans Jazz Band of Cologne".

The musical concept of cultivating the traditional and authentic New Orleans Jazz continues to be in focus - too because we know that the "New Orleans Sound" is no longer (often) listening to an ubiquitous, original band like ours. As an example and musical orientation, the bands of the legendary Preservation Hall were from the very beginning.

On the first trip to New Orleans, where the band had been accompanied by a large group of German fans On April 2, 1994, all musicians were named honorary citizens of the city of New Orleans - a great honor and tribute to us of service to the preservation and dissemination of New Orleans Jazz.
