Albert began his career singing and playing guitar for a number of bands. In 1973, at a time when many Brazilian artists were using anglicised names in attempts to break into the U.S. market, he released his first album, which featured "Feelings", the self-penned song that would eventually bring him worldwide success. The international release of "Feelings" sold over one million copies in the United States alone, and reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1975, and #2 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart. It was awarded a gold disc by the R.I.A.A. on 13 November 1975

This rip was taken from vinyl reissued by Atoll Music in 1992, pressed in France, and distributed by Polygram.
In this release, the credit of the song "Feelings" was printed as Morris Albert/Louis Gasté due to the reason that Gasté won the legal battle over the song. In 1988, California court declared that the song "Feelings" to be a plagiarism of the work of French songwriter Louis Gasté, who composed the song "Pour Toi" (For You) in 1956 for his wife Line Renaud, but didn't become successful with it. Gasté won 88% of the royalties.
