At the head of a Jazz Association that includes the brilliant trumpet player Olivier Laisney (Slugged, Oxyd, Gil Evans Paris Workshop…) and the dynamo pianist Maxime Sanchez (a recent finalist of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition), Magic Malik reworks in his own style the music that has long inspired him, without nostalgia or duplication, and with the memory of Eric Dolphy and Booker Little in the back of his mind.
