Recorded at The Bunker and engineered by Lester Salmins, „The Chase“ is the debut album from the Leo Richardson quartet with guest appearances (legendary Alan Skidmore or Quentin Collins). Richardson is widely recognised as one of London's leading jazz tenor saxophonists, best known for his contemporary hard-bop style. The Leo Richardson Quartet consists of Rick Simpson (piano), winner of the Yamaha Scholarship Prize for Outstanding Jazz Musicians; Mark Lewandowski (bass) and Ed Richardson (drums).
