    The word "gypsy" carries the full weight of a history filled with ostracism and deadly hate. However, the word "gypsy music" has always been a promise of happiness. And it still is: it sounds so wild and spicy, it sounds like blazing minstrelsy, melodic blessedness and a rousing passion for dancing. In their search for 18th century "gypsy music" the musicians around Vittorio Ghielmi found not only rare manuscripts but also pieces by master composers, which were inspired by travelling musicians. Their program thus becomes an homage to all the nameless virtuosos of that period. And when Stano Palúch and Marcel Comendant virtuosically unleash violin and cymbal Sanssouci happily swings in gypsy sound.
