Djurdjura is a Kabylian Algerian female Group. If there is a chorus of praise to Kabyle women, here without detours, raw and authentic. Kabyle society is matriarchal, despite misconceptions and here's proof!
Their music is something between tradition and modern western folk.
    Strong vocals -a cappella- .
The songs are about the discrimination of women in their homeland.
Berber music, or Amazigh music, is a widespread Northwest African musical genre that includes traditional and popular genres of the different Berber ethnic subgroups such as Tuareg Music, Chleuh music, Kabylian music, Chawi music, Riffis music, etc. as well as modern Berber styles of Rock, Blues, Pop, Raï or Jazz.
Tuareg (Tamasheq) people are nomadic Berber dwelling through Saharan desert, mainly between Niger, Mali, Algeria, Libya and Burkina Faso. Chleuhs, Riffis (Refains) and Zaians people live in Morocco. Kabyles, Chawis (Chaouis) and Chenwis (Chenouis) people live in Algeria. Saharian Berbers such as Zenagas, Mozabites, Siwis dwell between Morocco and Egypt.
