    In this album the Würzburg Cathedral Girls’ Choir presents its listeners precious musical pearls, 19th and 20th centuries’ choir literature for Advent and Christmas. In the first part the coir works concentrate on the topics of „Advent“, „the Holy Virgin Mary“ and „Christmas“.
    The famous christmas cycle „A Ceremony of Carols“ by Benjamin Britten forms the 2nd part and gives this CD its name.
    The young lovely singers let the listener immerse in a winter world and take him through different European countries as wells as various centuries, from the Gregorian Choral to some precious stones of contemporary choir music.
    The young and charmingly clear voices a accompanied by the organist of the Cathedral, Prof. Stefan Schmidt, and by the harp player Bettina Linck.
