    To most concertgoers, the composer, clarinetist and pedagogue Carl Baermann (1811-1885) is certainly not very well known. To every clarinetist, however, he is an absolute ‘must’. As an internationally renowned clarinet virtuoso of the 19th century, Baermann created a benchmark with his famous method for clarinet, still indispensible today because of its musical quality.

    Carl Baermann succeeded excellently in combining the well-crafted cunning of the instrument with extraordinary melodies. In particular, the second part of his method for clarinet (op. 64) includes numerous concert pieces, which can undoubtedly enrich any concert evening.

    We are very excited to now present an album release of these unrivaled, romantic clarinet gems that will surely leave a permanent impression on every listener, aficionado and student alike.
