Junior Kimbrough was one of the greatest blues artists recorded in the past quarter century. After having spent the majority of his life running a juke-joint and playing his own idiosyncratic style of blues in Mississippi, he started recording for Fat Possum. Produced by Robert Palmer, this is the first album he recorded and it's an absolute gem. It contains no blues standards and stands out as one of the few completely original albums recorded in the past 50 years.
