    On a Christmas Eve, three Tokyo homeless – mid-aged alcoholic man Gin, high school runaway girl Miyuki, and former drag queen Hana – were searching dumpsters and trash bags for possible Christmas gifts for themselves, when cries from a baby drew their attention. Believing this was a gift from God, Hana, who couldn't have a baby of "her" own, vowed to take care of the abandoned baby girl and together they began searching for baby's mother.

    Gin, un homme ruiné, Hana, un travesti versant volontiers dans le sentimental et Miyuki, une adolescente fugueuse, vivent dans la rue. Le soir de Noël à Tokyo, les trois sans abris trouvent un bébé au milieu des ordures et une clé de consigne de gare dans son couffin. Ils décident alors de retrouver la mère du nouveau-né, qu'ils appellent Kiyoko « enfant pur » en attendant. Commence pour eux une formidable aventure dans la vie qui les confrontera à leurs passés respectifs.
