As World War II ends in Europe, journalist Charles Wills (Johnson) is on the street of Paris, covering the city-wide celebration. He is suddenly grabbed by a beautiful woman, who kisses him on the lips and disappears.Charles follows the crowd to Café Dhingo and meets another pretty woman name Marion Elliswirth (Reed). The mutual attraction is instant and she invites him to join her father's celebration of the end of the war. Charles, Marion and her persistent French suitor Claude Matine (Dolenz) arrive at the Elliswirth household, only to find that the woman who had kissed Charles is Marion's younger sister Helen (Taylor).

Charles Wills, un Américain venu en aide aux alliés pendant la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale, revient à Paris comme journaliste et travaille pour le 'Stars and Stripes'. Il fait la connaissance de Marion Ellswirth qui en tombe amoureux et le présente à sa soeur Helen. Helen et Charles tombent amoureux, se marient et ont une fille. Marion déçue, épouse Claude Matine. Le couple semble vivre dans le bonheur complet mais Helen est courtisée en permanence et sort fréquemment alors que Charles écrit péniblement un livre qui ne trouve pas d'éditeur. Un jour, Charles fait l'interview de Lorraine Quarl, une jolie blonde avec qui il sympathise. De son côté, Helen rencontre le joueur de tennis playboy Paul Lane qu'elle ne quitte plus.

Only for nostalgia (Elisabeth Taylor), not the best DVD quality …
