The Mrs Bradley Mysteries is a British television drama series, produced in-house by the BBC for broadcast on the BBC One channel, based on the character created by detective writer Gladys Mitchell. It ran in 1998 and 1999, consisting of five episodes in total; a one-off special in the first year followed by a series of four episodes in the second.
Adela Bradley, sophisticated woman-of-the world, and her chauffeur George Moody are an unlikely pair… More of investigators back in the England of the 1920s. The sexual tension between Mrs. Bradley and George fairly crackles along as each episode unfolds to a logical conclusion while Mrs. Bradley, with the help of her trusty chauffeur George, employs her unique sleuthing talents in solving the mysteries that come her way
Speedy Death.
Mrs. Bradley attends a party to celebrate the engagement of her god-daughter, Eleanor Bing, to Everard Mountjoy. When Everard meets with an untimely death, the police conclude that it was a tragic accident. Mrs. Bradley is unconvinced and, aided by her trusted chauffeur, George, sets out to discover the truth.
