The film focuses on the lives of three women of different social classes who get publicly harassed. It starts with Fayza (Bushra), a low income government employee who gets harassed in a taxi and a bus (numbered 678) on the way to work. When she arrives home she resists her husband's attempts in sleeping with her and doesn't explain why she can't sleep with him.
Fayza, mère de famille portant le voile, doit prendre les bus bondés du Caire pour aller travailler. Chaque jour, des hommes se frottent contre elle, la touchent, la menacent, dans l'indifférence générale. Éprouvée par ces assauts répétés, Fayza se rend au cours d'autodéfense de Seba, une Égyptienne de la grande bourgeoisie qui s'est fait agresser au sortir d'un match de football. Bien qu'opposées en tout point, les deux femmes vont combattre ensemble cette violence quotidienne. Elles sont rejointes dans leur lutte par une adepte du stand-up, Nelly, première Égyptienne à avoir déposé plainte pour harcèlement sexuel.
