Alberto (Claudio Bisio), responsabile dell'ufficio postale di una cittadina della Brianza, sotto pressione della moglie Silvia (Angela Finocchiaro), è disposto a tutto pur di ottenere il trasferimento a Milano. Anche fingersi invalido per salire in graduatoria. Ma il trucchetto non funziona e per punizione viene trasferito in un paesino della Campania, il che per un abitante del nord equivale a un vero e proprio incubo. Rivestito di pregiudizi, Alberto parte da solo alla volta di quella che ritiene la terra della camorra, dei rifiuti per le strade e dei "terroni" scansafatiche. Con sua immensa sorpresa, Alberto scoprirà invece un luogo affascinante, dei colleghi affettuosi, una popolazione ospitale e un nuovo e grande amico, il postino Mattia (Alessandro Siani), al quale darà una mano per riconquistare il cuore della bella Maria (Valentina Lodovini). Il problema ora però è un altro: come dirlo a Silvia? Già, perché da quando è partito, non solo il loro rapporto sembra rifiorito, ma agli occhi dei vecchi amici del nord Alberto è divenuto un vero e proprio eroe… Remake della geniale commedia francese "Bienvenue chez le Ch’tis".

The film is an acknowledged remake of a French movie, Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis, which told the story of a southern postal employee unhappily transferred to the north. But in an Italian context, and with a self-pitying northern hero dispatched to the Mezzogiorno, the plot acquires more political bite. That is a view that would no doubt be endorsed by the wife of the film's hero. She is the leader of a thinly disguised Northern League vigilante patrol with a sense of civic duty so strong she will not let her son accept a balloon from a street trader unless it is accompanied by a valid tax receipt. When her husband, played by Claudio Bisio, is posted south of Naples, she buys him a flak jacket.

Recovery Volumes (.rev)
Recovery volumes or .rev files are special files which can be created by WinRAR/RAR and allow you to reconstruct missing and damaged files in a volume set. They can
only be used with multi-volume archives.
This feature may be useful for backups or, for example, when you post a multivolume archive to a newsgroup and some of the subscribers did not receive some files. Reposting recovery volumes instead of usual volumes may reduce the total number of files to repost.
Each recovery volume is able to reconstruct one missing RAR volume. For example, if you have 30 volumes and 3 recovery volumes, you are able to reconstruct any 3 missing volumes. If the number of .rev files is less than a number of missing volumes, reconstructing is impossible. The total number of usual and recovery volumes must not exceed 255 and the number of recovery volumes must be less than the number of RAR volumes.
WinRAR reconstructs missing and damaged volumes either when clicking on .rev file, or when using rc command or automatically, if it cannot locate the next volume and finds the required number of .rev files when unpacking.
You may use the "Recovery volumes" option in the Archive name and parameters dialog or a similar option also appears in the Protect archive command to create recovery volumes. In the command line mode you may do it with -rv switch or rv command.
Original copies of damaged volumes are renamed to *.bad before reconstruction. For example, volname.part03.rar will be renamed to volname.part03.rar.bad.
