Sharm El Sheik - Un'estate indimenticabile (2010)

Dopo aver lavorato una vita, Fabio è riuscito a comprare la casa dei suoi sogni, stipulando un mutuo trentennale, al limite delle sue possibilità finanziarie. Purtroppo, inattesi venti di recessione lo costringono a rivedere i suoi piani. L’azienda per cui lavora è stata inglobata dalla concorrenza e il nuovo presidente, Saraceni, “un furbetto del quartierino”, è intenzionato a tagliare teste per ottimizzare i costi. Fabio è in ballottaggio con un collega De Pascalis: uno dei due è di troppo. Fabio sa bene che alla sua età non può permettersi di perdere il lavoro. Deve trovare il modo per convincere Saraceni di essere un elemento di spicco, su cui fare affidamento. Saraceni è in vacanza in Egitto, a Sharm el Sheikh e quindi con la scusa di portare tutti in vacanza Fabio, che odia il mare, convince i suoi a partire con lui alla volta del Mar Rosso. E’ convinto che riuscirà nell’impresa ma non sa che in Egitto c’è anche De Pascalis, il suo collega intenzionato a vendere cara la pelle per conservare il posto, anche perché è massacrato dalla moglie, ambiziosa e arrivista che non gli perdonerebbe mai un eventuale fallimento. Equivoci, tradimenti, malintesi, piccole e grandi bugie, baci, qualche lacrima e molte risate, sono gli ingredienti di una commedia che diventa occasione per raccontare uno spaccato dell’Italia di oggi, con i suoi vizi e le sue virtù, incorniciate da un tema comune: la precarietà. La precarietà del lavoro, dei rapporti umani, del potere, la precarietà dei più giovani, alla continua e spesso vana ricerca di punti di riferimento…
