Biancaneve e i Sette Nani - Edizione Speciale (1937)

La Regina ha relegato la sua figliastra Biancaneve, una bambina graziosa e gentile, tra la servitù. Quando però, alcuni anni dopo, lo specchio magico annuncia alla Regina che Biancaneve è più bella di lei, la crudele matrigna ordina a un guardiaboschi di uccidere la fanciulla. L'aguzzino non ha il coraggio di compiere l'ordine e lascia libera Biancaneve che si rifugia nel bosco. Accolta dagli animali selvatici, Biancaneve si rifugia nella casetta dei Sette Nani che, dopo lo stupore iniziale, decidono di ospitarla come fosse una di loro. Ma la Regina, scoperto che Biancaneve è ancora viva, si trasforma magicamente in una vecchia e, arrivata nella casetta in mezzo al bosco, offre alla fanciulla una mela avvelenata. Al primo morso, Biancaneve cade morta. I Nani la depongono in un'urna di cristallo e la vegliano. Qualche tempo dopo, un Principe a passeggio nel bosco, trova Biancaneve nell'urna e, incantato dalla sua grazia, la bacia, risvegliandola. La Regina cattiva viene così sconfitta e Biancaneve e il Principe vissero per sempre felici e contenti.

The first, and by far most memorable full-length animated feature from the Disney Studios, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" may have been superseded technically by many of the films that followed it. But its simple story of a charming little princess saved from the evil deeds of her wicked step-mother, the queen, by a group of seven adorable dwarfs made history when it was first released in December, 1937 and has since become an incomparable screen classic.
