Jae-Young e Yeo-Jin sono due amiche del cuore e socie in affari per guadagnare i soldi necessari per un viaggio in Europa. La prima lavora come prostituta, mentre la seconda le procura i "clienti" e fa il palo per avvertire l'amica di eventuali retate della polizia. Un giorno per sfuggire ad un blitz della polizia, Jae-Young si getta da una finestra, restando gravemente ferita alla testa.

Sul letto di morte la ragazza esprime all'amica il desiderio di rivedere un'ultima volta l'uomo che ama: un cliente incontrato poco prima. L'uomo freddamente acconsente a rivedere Jae-Young, ma solo dopo che Yeo-Jin gli si conceda. La ragazza accetta a malincuore, ma i due arrivano all'ospedale troppo tardi: Jae-Young è morta.

In memoria dell'amica, Yeo-Jin allora decide di rintracciare tutti i clienti di Jae-Young, per restituire i soldi guadagnati e prestare i propri favori sessuali. Suo padre, un poliziotto, è devastato quando scopre, casualmente, cosa sta facendo. Comincia a seguirla con discrezione e affronta i suoi clienti, con risultati sempre più violenti. Infine, finisce per uccidere brutalmente un cliente.

Successivamente, padre e figlia fanno un breve viaggio in campagna, dove entrambi percepiscono qualcosa di sbagliato nell'altro, ma non sono capaci di confrontarsi direttamente. Alla fine, la legge raggiunge il padre, che spera di avere fatto abbastanza per preparare Yeo-jin per la sua vita senza di lui. La samaritana (hangul: 사마리아; latinizzazione riveduta della lingua coreana: Samaria) è un film del 2004 diretto da Kim Ki-duk. Il film è stato presentato nella sezione in concorso alla Festival del cinema di Berlino.

2000년대 인터넷이 발달하면서 인터넷을 통한 만남이 청소년 성매매 이용 경로의 약 90%를 차지하고 있다.
일본 사회 문제
일본 내 연구자들은 원조 교제가 성인 연령에 도달하는 여학생들의 통과 의례로서 발달했다고 본다. 현대 일본 자본주의에서 자연 발생적으로 생겼다는 것이다. 일본에서는 1950년대 이후 성매매는 불법화되었다.(성매매의 범위는 좁게 정의됨: 성기-성기접촉이 있어야 위법임.) 원조 교제에 관한 특별법은 1990년대에 만들어졌다. 그러나 일본 정부에 의한 실직적인 규제는 없어왔다. 왜냐하면 이 법에서는 명시적으로 성을 위해 돈을 지불한 게 아니면 처벌 대상이 아니기 때문이다. 실제 그러한 경우는 드물다. 간접적인 방식으로 돈을 건네는 거래이다. 또 일본 사법당국에 따르면 13세~17세의 연령에서 법률적 동의가 인정되기 때문에 원조 교제 고객은 법적 강간으로 처벌될 수 없는 경우가 많았다. 현재는 범죄로서 처벌된다.

휴대 전화 관계
원조 교제를 둘러싼 사회 환경은 복합적이다. 테레쿠라(전화방)을 통해 최초 접촉이 이루어진다. 여기서는 부스 안에서 남성이 전화를 걸면 여성이 전화를 받으며 여성이 원하면 데이트를 약속할 수 있다. 요즘에는 전화방에서 단순히 휴대 전화 번호를 제공해 주기도 하며, 전자 우편을 기반으로 하는 메루쿠라(메일 클럽)도 있다. 2000년 기준 일본의 휴대 전화 사용 인구가 6380만 명 정도 된다. 일본인터넷연합(민간단체)에 따르면 여고생들의 1/3 이상이 인터넷에 접속할 수 있는 휴대 전화를 가지고 있다고 한다.

Jae-Young is an amateur prostitute who sleeps with men while her best friend Yeo-Jin "manages" her, fixing dates, taking care of the money and making sure the coast is clear. When Jae-Young falls in love with one of those man she suppresses her feelings towards him in respect of her friend who's jealous. One Day Yeo-Jin fails in doing her job overlooking police officers looking for under-aged prostitutes.

In order to not get caught Jae-Young jumps out of a window almost killing herself. On her deathbed, she wishes to see the man again whom she fell in love with and turned away from. But the man only agrees if Yeo-Jin sleeps with him. She does but as they arrive in the hospital Jae-Young is already dead. Trying to understand her best friend, Yeo-Jin tracks down every man she slept with and does the same. As her father learns about this he gets on revenge with fatal consequences..

Recovery Volumes (.rev)
Recovery volumes or .rev files are special files which can be created by WinRAR/RAR and allow you to reconstruct missing and damaged files in a volume set. They can
only be used with multi-volume archives.
This feature may be useful for backups or, for example, when you post a multivolume archive to a newsgroup and some of the subscribers did not receive some files. Reposting recovery volumes instead of usual volumes may reduce the total number of files to repost.
Each recovery volume is able to reconstruct one missing RAR volume. For example, if you have 30 volumes and 3 recovery volumes, you are able to reconstruct any 3 missing volumes. If the number of .rev files is less than a number of missing volumes, reconstructing is impossible. The total number of usual and recovery volumes must not exceed 255 and the number of recovery volumes must be less than the number of RAR volumes.
WinRAR reconstructs missing and damaged volumes either when clicking on .rev file, or when using rc command or automatically, if it cannot locate the next volume and finds the required number of .rev files when unpacking.
You may use the "Recovery volumes" option in the Archive name and parameters dialog or a similar option also appears in the Protect archive command to create recovery volumes. In the command line mode you may do it with -rv switch or rv command.
Original copies of damaged volumes are renamed to *.bad before reconstruction. For example, volname.part03.rar will be renamed to volname.part03.rar.bad.
