Aguas Altas, un piccolo villaggio in Portogallo, è felice di entrare nel XXI secolo con l'apertura di un proprio sito web. A Madrid, una multinazionale ha registrato lo stesso dominio per il lancio sul mercato di una nuova acqua minerale. Quale futuro si prospetta per il piccolo centro? Pagare i 500.000 euro che l'azienda ha richiesto come risarcimento o chiudere il sito? Questa sfida si trasformerà rapidamente in un circo mediatico, dove gli abitanti di questo piccolo borgo si troveranno costretti a difendere il loro sito web in nome del loro villaggio. Se da una parte gli abitanti sono praticamente all'oscuro di cosa sia veramente internet, dall'altra il loro prete si spinge fino ad affermare che se Gesù fosse vivo, avrebbe avuto un proprio sito.
