Red Dragon (2002)

Un killer come il dottor Hannibal Lecter trova sempre degli ammiratori - fanatici alla morbosa ricerca di ogni minimo dettaglio dei suoi brutali e sensazionali crimini. Il solo fatto che egli esiste li eccita, e la violenza a sangue freddo che egli esercita sui "comuni" mortali li sostiene mentre arrancano nelle loro esistenze amare e solitarie. Disadattati come questi ritengono Lecter un essere superiore, certi che egli possiede la rara capacità di percepirli come essi percepiscano se stessi, e di rispettare l'assoluta necessità dei loro atti depravati. Lecter apprezza la loro devozione, soprattutto ora, dopo tanto tempo trascorso - con ben pochi diversivi - nella sua "residenza" all'Ospedale di Stato per criminali malati di mente a Baltimora. Anche Will Graham ha avuto i suoi fan ma, a differenza di Lecter, non li ha mai voluti. Noto investigatore dell'FBI, Graham è diventato suo malgrado un eroe dei tabloid grazie ai numerosi arresti di illustri assassini, compreso il dottor Lecter.

FBI Agent Will Graham has been called out of early retirement to catch a serial killer, known by authorities as "The Tooth Fairy". He asks for the help of his arch-nemesis, Dr. Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter, so that he can be able to catch "The Tooth Fairy" and bring him to justice. The only problem is that "The Tooth Fairy" is getting inside information about Graham and his family from none other than Dr. Lecter.
