Roma come realtà composita, inesauribile e contraddittoria, qui rappresentata mediante una serie di quadri e personaggi eterogenei, dal defilé di abiti ecclesiastici alla ricostruzione delle case chiuse, dagli scontri con la polizia all'ingorgo notturno sul Grande Raccordo Anulare; mentre lo stile passa dal lirismo alla satira, dalla nostalgia alla truculenza senza soluzione di continuità.
