Durant les temps anciens de la dynastie Shilla, la reine Chinsong tombe amoureuse du général Biharang. Mais ce dernier préfère Jaunbie, une jeune fille sans grade. Jalouse, la reine ordonne sa mort, au grand désespoir de son bien-aimé. Se jetant dans un lac afin d'échapper à ses assassins, Jaunbie se retrouve possédé par l'esprit maléfique du lac qui va finalement l'aider à se venger de la reine.
