The wizard's curse is a monster created by a magician from the brains of two dead criminals and it turns on its creator and kills him. Like the evil villain in the Bride with White Hair it is a bisexual being with the male and female parts appearing alternately. It thrives on killing and eating the brains of its victims and it seeks immortality by eating the brain of the taoist priest's virgin daughter. Copying the Terminator and Terminator 2 movies this creature is invincible and in a scene copied from these movies attacks a police station looking for its female victim.
The setting is contemporary Hong Kong. Master Taoist Lam Chin has just aided the police in destroying La Mit and his girlfriend Kim Sha,two criminals who seemed indestructible due to their ties with black magic. Lam returns to his home where he becomes involved in a domestic argument with his daughter,Ting,over her choice of boyfriends,perpetuated by her blatant disregard for tradition.(standard theme that runs through the Mr. Vampire series.)
Meanwhile, a fiendish wizard,obsessed with dreams of creating an ultimate monster, steals the bodies of the two criminals. He annoints them with the sperm of 99 satyrs and the blood collected from the menstrual flow of 99 bitches. The result is the merging of the two bodies into one ultra-powerful,bisexual creature known as the Terrific Vampire. This lustful monster gains knowledge and strength by killing and devouring the brains of victims. Besides using brute force and fangs, the creature also wields its penis as a deadly weapon! More than once, helpless victims are impaled on the humongus organ.
If, in 7 days, the vampire can eat the brain of the Taoist's daughter, its power will become insurmountable. So the creature begins the pusuit of Ting.
Master Lam knows the only way to stop the monster is with his daughter's help. She must have sexc with a virgin male born at the bewitching hour, and then she will possess the power necassary to defeat the vampire.Asian Cult Cinema the book
Talk about a diamond in the rough! Using the unabashed charm of the Mr. Vampire series (i.e., the mixture of endearing charm and grisly horror), this film succeeds far beyond its meager budget. Director Yuen manages to make Wizard's Curse look like a million bucks, creating an immensely satisfying sequel which virtually dwarfs the official Mr. Vampire 1992.Asian Cult Cinema the book
It's dependable Hong Kong horror-comedy hijinxs by Yuen Cheung Yan and starring Lam Ching Ying. The Cat III rating does allow for more outrageous imagery such as the Terrific Vampire's main weapon, easily described as some sort of supernatural glowing penis. Also, the gore level is slightly heightened compared to other horror-comedies but the brain sucking scenes obviously looks like a concept that never was able to flourish due to budget restraints. These previously mentioned points are definite merits though but the Cat III rating also makes way for even more crude so called humour, courtesy of Wong Jing's screenplay. Still, it's good fun and once again Lam Ching Ying demonstrates his flair for comedy in combination with his assured handling of the Taoist priest character.IMDBFrom SoGoodReviews
NB! Movie is ripped from the Rare low quality VHS. So, as you can understand, the quality is far from the best, but there is no a better one.
