Two bold realtors buy a mansion when possessed by a tragic silent film starlet, and learn too late that it comes with a lethal key in this supernatural shocker from manager Charles Band. Reese (Jessica Morris) and Danni (Ariana Madix) are looking for a household to sell and restore when they take place across a Hollywood chateau once owned by Rose Pettigrew (Jean Louise O'Sullivan), a silent-era icon who had been dumped by the studios following the change to sound, and embarked on a suicidal murder rampage that advertised the life of comic Tubby Fitzgerald (Nihilist Gelo), horror legend Erik Burke (Robert Zachar), and cowboy legend Sonny Barnes (Eric Roberts). Years later on, that dark background nevertheless looms hefty in those cavernous hallways. At first Reese and Danni believe they've stumbled into the bargain of a life time. And they couldn't be more right, because this household is haunted, and odds are they'll never live to find anything better.

The Dead Want Women is definitely in the spirit of classic exploitation cinema, which admittedly is not for everyone. Off beat, hokey, and just plain ridiculous. If this does not excite you, then look away. However, if you're the kind of person that knows how to have fun with the B-movie atmosphere, then The Dead Want Women is right up your alley! It certainly delivers on its promises, in a fast food, guilty pleasure fashion. The movie even has Eric Roberts, who plays a deliciously demented perverted dead dude. It's this kind of acting that injects The Dead Want Women with the ooey, gooey goodness that makes B-movies so much fun to watch. And that's what these kind of movies are all about: fun.
