Juan Olmedo and Sara Gómez (Carmen Elías) are two strangers who flee from their past and settle in an urbanization on the Cádiz coast. There, hundreds of kilometers from Madrid, they try to rebuild their lives, even though the memories are still very strong: Sara, who had it all and then lost it, and Juan, who is fleeing a family tragedy, are the protagonists of a story in which the west and the east blow harder than ever.
It is such a beautiful film. The plot is excellent. The interwoven scenes of past and present reveal the story slowly, and convincingly. The characters are built well, and I care for them a lot. Charo's character is particularly affecting, her manipulation towards men is almost scary. The relationship between Juan, Damian and Tamara is delicate, and is handled well in the film. The transition from doubt to trust between Juan and Sara is moving. I am surprised that there are only 48 votes for this film. It is a beautiful film, and I think it deserves a larger audience.
