STORY:
It is 1917, and America has just entered World War I. Stan and Ollie are drafted and create havoc in training camp. They befriend another doughboy, Eddie Smith, who is killed in action. Eddie leaves behind a young daughter, now an orphan. Upon their discharge, Stan and Ollie devote their time to finding the girl's grandparents, with the family name of Smith as their only lead to their whereabouts.
