Gary est jeune, agile, il apprend vite. Il fait partie de ceux à qui on n’a jamais rien promis. De petits boulots en petits boulots, il est embauché dans une centrale nucléaire. Là, au plus près des réacteurs, où les doses radioactives sont les plus fortes, il trouve enfin ce qu'il cherchait: de l’argent, une équipe, une famille. Mais l'équipe, c’est aussi Karole, la femme de Toni dont il tombe amoureux. L'amour interdit et les radiations contaminent lentement Gary. Chaque jour devient une menace.

Grand Central is a 2013 French romance film co-written and directed by Rebecca Zlotowski. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the François Chalais Prize. Gary, an unskilled young man, lands a job as a decontamination sub-contractor at a nuclear power plant in the lower valley of the Rhone. Inducted into the workforce by supervisor Gilles and veteran Toni, Gary discovers that radiation contamination is not just a risk factor but an everyday hazard. At the same time, he begins an illicit affair with Karole, the fiancée of Gilles
