The film traces the path of an exceptional dancer as well as the story of their meeting and exemplary collaboration that has developed with one of the leading figures of contemporary dance - an artistic collaboration and friendship never writs in 30 years, in which the need for affirmation individual has never been greater than generosity, modesty and dedication to work. Member of the "Tanztheater de Wuppertal" since its founding in 1973, Dominique Mercy is a character inseparable from the artistic adventure of Pina Bausch and most of his creations. His virtuosity, the peculiar quality of his movement, the field of art and the range of possibilities it offers - combined with the ability to overcome the technical, release, - as well as their human qualities and the nature of their commitment, made to becoming one of the most notable performers of the choreographer. To compose this sensitive portrait, complete with testimonies of Pina Bausch, Françoise Adret, Jean Babilée, Carolyn Carlson, Malou Airaudo and Lutz Gregor, choreographer and dancer Régis Obadia conversed at length with Dominique Mercy, investigating various aspects of their work: time research, testing, teaching, etc. With the aid of photographs and excerpts from performances, it shows the evolution of a being who is totally devoted to his art.
