Synopsis:
More than two thirds of the earth is covered by water and yet we know more about the
surface of the moon than about the depths of our oceans. Deep Blue presents one of the
last great mysteries of our planet - the world's oceans. The trip goes from shallow coral reefs
on the inhospitable coast of Antarctica in the vastness of the open ocean to the deepest depths
of the oceans into eternal darkness. Spectacular shots of dancing dolphins, sharks and whales
go hunting polar bears and fishing for huge armies of crabs that race across the beach.
The camera shoots through huge schools of fish and penetrates to the deep black sea,
where bizarre magic glowing fish, worms, jellyfish and a colorful fireworks display.
Deep Blue is one of the most extraordinary and most elaborate projects ever realized in the
film and shows the life of the oceans in all its breathtaking beauty and untamed wilderness.
