This is a compelling 8 part documentary that examines the evolution of the British Isles - its landscape and wildlife that have evolved through climatic, geological and human change.
What an amazing series. The best I have ever seen. So informative and highly interesting by an excellent presenter. I can't praise it enough with thanks. Imagine Britain as a desert and a coral sea and a rain forest! Unbelievable series. Introduced me to Gaping Gill and many other things. What a lucky guy with an interesting life. I found this page just looking for a page somewhere on the internet for a way to contact him to say thank you for such an interesting subject and submitted in a great way with enthusiasm and knowledge that would be hard to beat from any other presenter. His gardening series was also excellent too. I wish I could ask him personally about his ideas on the use of rock dust from the seers centre in Scotland, of which the founders gave talks at the eden project.
