In Argentina, fathers are punished for wanting to be active parents to their children after a divorce. Latino men are stereotyped as “machistas”, but many dads in Argentina want to actively participate in their children´s lives after divorce. The justice system favors women and assumes that men are always violent aggressors, and allows fake accusations to prosper. In cases where there are no false accusations, the courts do nothing when visitation orders are not followed. As a result, many fathers are unjustly prevented from seeing their children.

Effacer Papa est un documentaire long-métrage qui suit six pères qui luttent pour élever leurs enfants et contient des entretiens avec des professionnels qui avouent, devant la caméra, qu’ils font tout pour priver les pères de leurs enfants.
En Argentine, comme en France et ailleurs, les pères sont sanctionnés pour vouloir participer activement à la vie de leurs enfants après une séparation. Le système de Justice favorise la mère et présume que tous les pères sont de violents agresseurs, en laissant foisonner de fausses accusations. Par conséquent, beaucoup de pères sont injustement privés de leurs enfants.

Borrando a papá es un documental que denuncia una problemática en aumento: la obstrucción de los vínculos entre padres e hijos que, en procesos de divorcios conflictivos, se ven inmersos en un sistema que considera al padre peligroso y un accesorio prescindible en la crianza de los hijos y lo aparta sistemáticamente. Borrando a papá devela cómo a partir de esta obstrucción de los vínculos familiares que dura meses o años se ha creado un negocio del que muchos profesionales se benefician y se encargan de perpetuar.
