Angel Cop (OVA, 1-6 Complete)

Angel Cop (エンゼルコップ, Enzeru Koppu) is a six-part original video animation created and directed by Ichiro Itano. A manga adaptation written and illustrated by Taku Kitazaki was serialized in Newtype Magazine and reprinted as a Newtype 100% collection in 1990.
The story initially starts by dealing with terrorism in an alternate-universe 1990s era, where Japan is the largest economy in the world. The communist radical group, the Red May, are trying to bring down Japan's economy and take over the government.
In response, a government agency, the Special Security Force, is formed with the ability to act outside the law. However, when the Red May suddenly find themselves being wiped out, the force discovers that something else is hunting the terrorists.

The other world powers are dependent upon Japan for their economies, making Japan prey to terrorists who wish to disrupt world relations. In order to deal with this threat, Japan funds a new organization named the Special Security Force (SSF) to investigate terrorist activities and disrupt them. The four members of SSF include Angel, a rookie cop with questionable morals and an icy heart, Raiden, her partner, Hacker, explosives and armed combat expert, and Peace, an expert in computers. They are an elite, cutting-edge force with the powers of judge, jury and executioner. Their current assignment, handed down by Chief Taki, involves tracking down the leading terrorist group, the Red Mays, whose goal is world communism. Taki suspects that the Red Mays will attempt to free their leader, Suyama, when he lands at the airport in police custody. They do manage to free him and Tachihara, his partner, but are quickly pursued by the SSF. While attempting to capture them, Raiden is seriously injured and mysteriously vanishes. At the same time, Angel has found the Red Mays they pursued dead, their killer an enigmatic man who can teleport. They soon discover that the killer's name is Asura and that he is but one of three Hunters with extreme mental abilities. The other two are Frea and Lucifer, and together, they strive to eliminate the terrorist threat. Raiden also returns as a powerful cyborg, having been rebuilt by Ichihara when he was close to death. Things get interesting when Taki uncovers information of the mysterious H-File that contains data of a high-level government conspiracy. His superiors order the deaths of all the SSF in order to cover it up and prevent the data from leaking. The SSF must then defend themselves from the SWAT teams sent to kill them, while unraveling the mystery of the H-File and the Hunters.

Controversy and English Editing
The original Japanese language version of Angel Cop is controversial for its Anti-Semitic plot points. In the original Japanese, it is revealed that the Jews are the main threat to Japan's standard of living, and are trying to sabotage the country's economy and turn it into a dumping ground for radioactive material.
When Manga Entertainment adapted Angel Cop into English, they removed all traces of Anti-Semitism from not only the dub, but the subtitled version as well.
