The song was originally intended to be sent to mainstream and rhythmic airplay on May 25, 2010. However, after clips from Perry's new album were leaked online, her label released the song to radio on to May 7, 2010, and also began to stream it on her website. It is her second number-one single (on both Billboard's Hot 100 and Hot Dance Airplay charts) in the United States after 2008's "I Kissed a Girl" and Snoop Dogg's third number-one single after 2004's "Drop It Like It's Hot" with Pharrell and 2006's "I Wanna Love You" with Akon. The song has been number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks. The song reached number one in over 10 countries, including United States, Canada, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, UK, and New Zealand

It will receive radio playback from June 28th, 2010[1], and its release date is set on August 6, 2010 in Germany[2]. The track "Bring Them to Light" was originally written for Worlds Collide, but both Duplantier and Apocalyptica were unhappy with the original, and so they decided to re-work the track, and re-record it for their next studio album

"The Funeral of Hearts" is a song by Finnish band HIM, released in 2003. It is the second track and first single from the album Love Metal. Known as one of HIM's most popular songs, it is usually used to close live shows.

A music video was filmed for the song, produced by Stefan Lindfors. It shows the band performing in a dream-like wintery atmosphere in Lapland, and encountering mythical creatures. In 2004 it won a Kerrang! award for Best Video.

The Finnish band HIM remade this song, first using it in their demo This is Only the Beginning, then in their EP 666 Ways To Love: Prologue, then another recording on their first album Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666, and lastly on the British and American versions of their second album Razorblade Romance. The last recording they made of it then reappeared on their compilation album And Love Said No - The Greatest Hits 1997-2004. With "Wicked Game" on their EP and first album, HIM gained fame in their native Finland. HIM frontman Ville Valo had this to say about "Wicked Game": "I went to Pasila's library and borrowed the soundtrack-vinyl of Wild At Heart and recorded it on tape. So with Linde we tried to 'learn' the song from the tape. It was kind of funny, that we learnt the song a bit wrong. We didn't hear the guitar parts well enough from that 'bad quality' tape. We also heard the lyrics wrong, and when the song was later recorded to our first EP, there were a few funny mistakes in the lyrics."
