Gondofares - La danse macabre (2017)

Singer, songwriter, bassist and producer Didier Chanot aka “gondofares” is born and still based in the south of France. Involved in many bands, he recently decided to take advantage of his avid urge to express himself by working on a solo project, slowly crafting, night after night, the 9 tracks of “supervoid evidence ” his first LP. The maturing artist finally let his pop influences shine through the structure of these songs. The cold, electronic and futuristic landscapes are contrasted by gondofares’ voice, satisfying our need for a touch of human feelings. Vibrant pad structures uphold crispy bass lines and bouncing drum patterns, to create an etherial electric mist from which it is hard to escape.In search for emotions’ right place in our ever complexifying world, the lyrics are exploring themes like love, death, inner peace, life among others, faith and devotion… Driven by his recent fatherhood, his words are always true and honest, emotionally charged.
