"Magellano" is a challenge for Gianni Savelli Media Res: The challenge to create magical music by boundaries of genres, languages and cultures are crossed. The ensemble wants to express himself, playing unique music that is deeply and personally and reflects the curiosity and personality of the musician. The band explores therefore languages, cultures and worlds to create an album that gives them satisfaction.

Gianni Savelli Media Res is a project that the saxophonist Gianni Savelli has founded in 2000. The ensemble represents a unique sound, which is based on jazz and is inspired by non-European musical traditions and classical music. It is a kind of passion characterized by fascinating memories and full of visions.
