Queen is back to Palco Mundo 30 years after the first Rock in Rio, this time with Adam Lambert giving voice to the themes which Freddie Mercury originally sang.

After Brazil, the city of Rock in Lisbon will receive Queen + Adam Lambert on the 20th of May, the first day of the seventh edition of the event.

“Thirty years ago, Queen acted in Rock in Rio before 250,000 fans, where Freddie Mercury led a chorus while the audience sang” Love of My Life “. This moment will be remembered forever in the history of music and of Rock in Rio”, recalls Roberto Medina, President and founder of Rock in Rio. “We are very thrilled to receive Queen + Adam Lambert in Rock in Rio Lisbon; it will be without undoubtedly another unforgettable moment,” she adds.

In 1985, Queen performed in the newly created Rock in Rio event before 250 000 people. Seven days later, on 18th January 1985, the band repeated the show, managing to attain more 250 000 fans.
