Formed in Cardiff, Wales, in 2012, Until the Ribbon Breaks is, by nature a band, spearheaded by Pete Laurie Winfield with Elliott Wall. As a project, however, it's a bit more undefinable. Over the past six years, Until The Ribbon Breaks (a.k.a. UTRB) has honed a signature mix of electronica, experimental rock, and luscious orchestrations enveloped in sound and vision via projections and films. Their latest, self-titled album is vulnerable and personal, the product of soul-searching and, ultimately, acceptance. "The record went through all of this with me," says Winfield. "I'm grateful for where I am now." Boasting a signature mix of electronica, experimental rock, and luscious orchestrations, Until the Ribbon Breaks' newest release is both vulnerable and deeply personal.
