Welcome to the summer edition of our magazine. Like it is always said, every season has its own flavour and ipseity; be it the food or the clothes!! Summer too has its hallmark: light fabrics, brighter colors and healthy waterlicious summer food.
On longer, lazier days of summer, the living may not be easy, but life probably feels less chaotic. That's why this is a perfect time to practice mindfulness to improve your health and fashion.
When you are shopping, take a moment and let yourself look at the abundance and variety that is before you with “a fresh perspective”. Ask yourself: Are the eye-catching food labels helping me make a choice or is it filling me with fear that my usual choice isn’t good enough?
When we asked Dipen Dutta, food technologist, to share facts on food labeling, we realized that most of us hardly understand what food labeling is!
We consider the environmental impact of so many of our actions from our morning coffee to the temperature of our bedrooms, but we haven’t turned our full collective attention to our wardrobes yet. Fashion industry is amongst the top five global polluters. They produce more than 100 billion new garments per annum. Producing so many garments does put an incredible strain on the planet.
So we have Ruth Valiant from People Tree, who will help us become more mindful while shopping.
And don’t miss our two powerhouse fashion spreads: “My green wardrobe” by Catarina Midby, Sustainability manager H&M. She will share her green wardrobe ideas, how to create sustainable fashionable and make fashion sustainable, and “Wardrobe essentials for men” order to be classic, stylish, well-dressed for every season and occasion.
Also, we have many more informative articles in store to pique your interest on Fashion, Food and Fitness.
