Yussef Dayes is a British jazz percussionist and producer from London, England. He became known as part of the duo Yussef Kamaal, which he formed together with the London producer Kamaal Williams. "Black Focus", the duo's debut album released in 2016, earned them the newcomer award of the English radio station Jazz FM. Since 2018, Yussef Dayes has also been releasing tracks under his own name.

The atmospheric psychedelic jazz single "Duality" was created in collaboration with pianist Charlie Stacey and bassist Rocco Palladino and was ByteFM Track of the Day in December 2019. Furthermore, Dayes worked with well-known UK jazz colleagues such as Alfa Mist and Ruby Rushton. In his drumming, which has been praised as highly innovative and precise, Yussef Dayes is inspired by Senegalese percussion, funk, hiphop and grime, among others.

"What Kinda Music", a collaboration album with London jazz musician Tom Misch, was released in 2020 via Beyond The Groove and Blue Note. The jazz-soul-funk hybrid was ByteFM Album of the Week in April 2020.
