Two studio albums and a live set with Phil Mogg, Pete Way and Michael Schenker from the classic, newly formed "Strangers In The Night" line-up of UFO.
The roots of UFO go back to 1968 in London, when singer Phil Mogg and bassist Pete Way teamed up with drummer Andy Parker. They achieved cult status in Japan and Germany until 1973, when they found their key sound in the influential German lead guitarist Michael Schenker. Schenker's original time with UFO ended with the release of the double live LP "Strangers In The Night". UFO continued in various line-ups in the 80s and 90s, while Michael Schenker founded the Michael Schenker Group. in 1995, the classic "Strangers In The Night" line-up reunited for a new studio album, "Walk On Water".
The second release of the reunion after "Walk On Water" was "Covenant" (CD1). With Phil Mogg, Michael Schenker and Pete Way, the line-up was completed by the legendary drummer Aynsley Dunbar. "Covenant" was released in 2000 and was the 15th album by this British melodic hard rock institution. The same band released "Sharks" (CD2) two years later in 2002. Their 16th album was also the last album with lead guitarist Michael Schenker.
The original releases of "Covenant" and "Sharks" contained live bonus tracks recorded on tour in the USA in support of the 1995 album "Walk On Water". This time Phil Mogg, Michael Schenker and Pete Way were joined by Simon Wright (Dio, AC/DC) on drums and Paul Raymond on guitar and keyboards. Paul Raymond had also been a member of the legendary band "Strangers In the Night".
Recorded live at Blind Melons, Buffalo, NY, USA on September 11, 1995 (CD3), the third disc contains many popular UFO classics such as 'Too Hot To Handle', 'Rock Bottom' and 'Out In The Street' as well as 'Venus' and 'Pushed To The Limit' from the album 'Walk On Water'.
