The Beatles' groundbreaking documentary series "Anthology" has been restored and remastered. The Anthology Collection contains the revised editions of the original three collections of rarities and outtakes compiled by George Martin and published between 1995 and 1996.

The Beatles' eight-part "Anthology" series, first released three decades ago, reinvented the music documentary. Instead of a standard production with an external narrator and talking heads, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr in "The Anthology" openly told their own story with all its complexities and contradictions. She introduced the Beatles to new generations of viewers and listeners and marked the beginning of a creative and commercial afterlife that continues to this day.

The original eight episodes of the series trace the legendary journey that began in Liverpool and Hamburg and soon captivated the world. They bring timeless stories to life - about Beatlemania, the band's groundbreaking emergence in the USA, their role at the forefront of the counterculture of the 1960s, their spiritual journey of discovery in India and their eventual breakup. And the common thread runs through all this: the music, always the music.

There is now a completely new episode Nine, including previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage of Paul, George and Ringo, who got together between 1994 and 1995 to work on "The Anthology" and reflect on their life together as The Beatles.

Everything the Beatles did was associated with change. When we listen to their songs and follow their story, we learn more about the changes in culture, ideas and music that they have helped to shape – and that continue to reverberate to this day.

The live material from 1963/64 is excellent both in performance and in sound quality.
