Clint Eastwood - Million Dollar Baby

    MP3, 192 kbps, Release Date : 03/01/2005, Genre: Sountrack, ~48 MB

Clint Eastwood's gritty boxing drama was the big winner at the 2005 Academy Awards, garnering Oscars for Best Film, Best Director (Eastwood), Best Actress (Hillary Swank) and Best Supporting Actor (Morgan Freeman). As it did for 2003's Mystic River, Eastwood's life-long love of music and budding confidence as a composer has led him again to score the film himself. Anchored by elegiac figures for solo acoustic guitar and piano, it often shares River's spacious, subtle introspection. But it's also occasionally seasoned with welcome dollops of jazz and blues, the byproduct of a longstanding love affair with American roots music that also yielded his Charlie Parker biopic Bird and the insightful, Eastwood-produced Thelonius Monk documentary, Straight No Chaser. If its haunting, gently yearning string arrangements lack the bombast and overwrought melodicism that fuel so many Hollywood vehicles, Eastwood's musical sensibility here echoes his contemporary evolution as an actor and director: Surprisingly modern, with an emotionally tender, less-as-more ethos that's light years removed from his action film roots.

Kraftwerk - Tour De France Soundtracks (2003)
    Genre: Electronic | MP3 192 Kbps CBR | 00:55:54 | 76,78 Mb

Lovely melodies , innovative sound-effects and a stringent subject matter (their beloved hobby ) : cycling and especially the myth of the worlds greatest sporting event . The TOUR DE FRANCE . This recording reminds me of another fine moment in KRAFTWERK's history “AUTOBAHN”. This dynamic feeling of a non-stop forward movement through electronic music . Hats off to the originators and respect for their best album to date.

The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring OST

The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring OST (2001) by Howard Shore
Format: Enhanced, Limited Edition, Soundtrack | MP3 192 Kbps (VBR) | Label: Reprise / Wea

Score composer Howard Shore has informed this first installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy with his distinctly modern sensibilities. Revolving loosely around a brief, heroic brass theme, this epic is infused with a powerful rhythmic thrust and a musical range that encompasses centuries (from the Renaissance pastoralism of “Concerning Hobbits” to the fiery, Prokofiev-influenced drama of “A Knife in the Dark”). Key to the score's sense of mystery and magical place are the rich choral passages that are interspersed throughout, some so ominously gothic they make The Phantom Menace's “Duel of the Fates” sound almost sunny by comparison. Enya's contributions (“The Council of Elrond” and the song “May It Be”) add a sense of organic tranquility, but it's Shore's Wagnerian-scaled orchestral score that should long be cherished by admirers of film music and hobbits alike.

    Kraftwerk - Autobahn (1974)
Genre: Electronic | Quality: Insane (avg. bitrate: 320 Kbps) | 98 Mb

Though they'd recorded three previous albums, Kraftwerk's modern pop legacy starts with the sounds of a few footsteps and a slamming car door – the beginning of a 22-minute musically impressionistic excursion down Germany's famed superhighway. An unexpected hit on both sides of the Atlantic, Autobahn's “fahren, fahren, fahren” refrain echoes “Fun, Fun, Fun” by the Beach Boys (just one of Kraftwerk's unlikely influences), while the entire concept recalls Brian Wilson's frustrated attempts at creating what he called “a pocket symphony”. The rhythmic synth pulse that carries the title track will be familiar to Kraftwerk admirers, while cofounder Florian Schneider's flute work and other more delicate melodic touches hearken back to the band's prog-rock foundations (as do the atmospheric “Kometenmelodie 1 & 2”, “Mitternacht”, and “Morgenspaziergang”). Kraftwerk's fascination with technology has been well documented, but the revelation of Autobahn is the playful human spirit behind the robots' masks.
