Bramhall was in on the ground floor when blue-eyed soul brothers put rock & roll on the back burner and turned their attention to the grittier side of the street. From the early '60s on, there isn't an inside player in Texas who wasn't aware of the singing drummer's influence. Everyone from Billy Gibbons to Stevie Vaughan on up to Lou Ann Barton and the young blues crowd in Austin and beyond have gone to school on Doyle Bramhall's way with words.

Bloodline are from the USA, and, as the name implies, they have a bloodline with some of the world's most acclaimed musicians. The band is made up of Berry Oakley Jnr. on lead vocals and bass (son of the late Berry Oakley, bassist for the Allman Brothers), drummer Erin Davis,(son of the late, great Miles Davis), Waylon Krieger on guitars (son of The Doors' Robbie Krieger), keyboard player Lou Segreti and guitarist Smokin' Joe Bonamassa, with the awesome Warren Haynes (Allmans/Gov't Mule) helping out on slide guitar on "Calling Me Back". And if you have never heard of Joe Bonamassa, then you are going to be in for a real treat. He is one smokin' young musician.

Austin-based guitarist, songwriter and singer Chris Duarte is such a promising young upstart in the world of modern blues that he has been favorably compared to the late Stevie Ray Vaughan.
