Sunset at Chaophraya 2 (Thai: คู่กรรม 2, Khu Kam 2) is a 2003 romantic-drama film directed by Bunjong Kosolwat. Adapted from the novel Khu Kam 2 by Thommayanti, the story sequence after Khu Kam 1 [set in World War II-era] , about Aungsumalin, a thai women who marriage to an Imperial Japanese Navy officer (Kobori). Eventhought, she was force to married but finally both were in loved. He die in the war. Then she had to grown her child alone, Yoishi. The story backward through 1973, Thailand was govern by the military dictatorship. The event led to a popular uprising that toppled the military dictatorship and restored democracy. Yoishi [aka Kalin], grown up to be a university teacher at Thummasart University and deny his japanese blood. He always encourage the student about the democary movment. Sarawanee a fearless student leader, who commanded the biggest mass in democary movment. Love story between teacher and student that formed among the political turmoil.
