English
Tony Manero, committed in a paint store in Brooklyn, trying to escape from squalor and monontonia daily venting on the dance floor on Saturday night.
The Saturday Night Fever is the film that best represents the spirit that hovered in the seventies. This film tells the life of young age from the perspective of Tony Manero (played by John Travolta), a boy of Italian origin who lives in a suburb of New York working as a clerk in a paint store. His life is based on dance and on Saturday night, when unleashed on the track, in nightclubs he frequented Tony is the king, all the girls go crazy just to see him, and enjoys the respect of all. During visits to the disco Stephanie knows that he is opposed to a girl educated and high social class: a person who knows what he wants. Despite the differences, the two come together and begin a more or less regular preparation for participation in the disco dancing competition. With some difficulty, and thanks to the sympathies of the audience, they will win the race (despite not having really earned it, because according to Tony, the Puerto Rican couple deserved to win). Famous is the dance between Stephanie and Tony, the latter dressed in trousers "on foot" white, white jacket, white vest and dark shirt, on the song "More Than A Woman" by the Bee Gees
