As is often the way with royalty, it seems “the king of beasts” is a discerning eater, developing a preference for tender human flesh over the horns and hoofs of its everyday prey. While man-eating lions are the exception rather than the rule in Kruger National Park, the park warns those who attempt to sneak through it at night — lions lie in wait!
