The Sign of the City (2007)

Set amongst the city lights of Sao Paulo, The Sign Of The City follows astrologer Teca as she conducts her night radio show where she answers to anonymous listeners. Her callers include Lydia, who flirts with danger, Josialdo, who was born to be a woman and Monica, who just wants to do well in life. As time passes, fate weaves everyone together and the struggle to break the isolation and find their way to redemption enables them to discover the transforming power of solidarity.

The Sign of the City, written by a famous Brazilian actress,Bruna Lombardi, is about strangers colliding in Sao Paulo.
Firstly, there is Teca, an expert in signs, who owns a radio program.Her father gets sick, and she will have to try to get along with him again.
The screenplay is well written and performed by an excellent cast.
Moreover, it's a study about the human being and how their lives may be modified. It is similar to Crash, which also shows different people dealing with their lives in a big city.
At the end, the big question we come up with is : why do we meet strangers that have nothing to do with you, but that end up being important to you?Is there anything to do with signs and stars? Or not?
Go see it.
