Der Bestatter (Method Man) arbeitet in der Leichenhalle im schlimmsten Teil der Stadt. Er ist ein stiller Mann, der Wert legt auf äußeren Stil, und niemand wissen lässt, was in seinem Inneren vorgeht. Das dient dem Schutz, denn rund um seinen Arbeitsplatz tobt ein Krieg, dessen Opfer immer wieder auf seinem Tisch landen. Als plötzlich eine junge Frau auf seinem Seziertisch mit Botticellis Venus auf den Bauch tätowiert liegt, löst das im Bestatter eine Veränderung aus. Auch der kleine Junge, der von Gangstern gejagt bei ihm Zuflucht sucht, beginnt seine Routine zu brechen.
