The island is made up of 3,500 square miles of virtually untouched, harsh Alaskan wilderness, frequented by deadly predators and erratic weather. For a group of guides leading hunters and anglers to the wild edge, every day is a roll of the dice. Life here is tough. In Discovery Channel’s new four-part series KODIAK, set to premiere in 2014, viewers will experience the struggles of three multi-generational families risking it all to make a living in this in this dangerous environment.

Season 01 , Episode 01 – “Do or Die Together”
The lodge opens for the fall season and Bob and Ernie luck upon a whale carcass on the beach that has attracted a swarm of bears. Back at camp, Robert is training Troy and Kyle on what it takes to be a bear guide in Kodiak.

Season 01 , Episode 02 – “First Time Fear”
On a hunt, Bob and Ernie get their client up close and personal with Kodiak bear. Everything goes smoothly until the bear decides to charge. Meanwhile, Troy and Kyle are tackling the unsavory task of moving the outhouse.
