solidThinking Click2Form 2017.2

solidThinking, Inc., a leading provider of industrial design software, announced the release of Click2Form 2017.2 is a brand new SolidThinking product used for rapid stamping feasibility analysis based on inverse analysis technology.

Starting with sheet metal parts or tool geometry, product designers and process development engineers can utilize Click2Form to predict and eliminate manufacturability issues with just a few mouse clicks early in the design process, significantly reducing lead time. Additionally, Click2Form accurately calculates the shape of the starting blank, and provides utilities for blank nesting to determine optimal nesting layout that minimizes material wastage.

Prepare Model
- Defeature Tool
Box selection has been added to enable you to select multiple flanges simultaneously.
You can now snap to select points for cutouts.
Setup Model
- Materials Tool
Stress-strain data can now be visualized in a table and plot.
You can manually enter stress-strain data when the Stress-Strain type is set to Data Points (True) or Data Points (Engg) in the Materials dialog.
Analyze
- Analysis Explorer
Callout options have been added to the Analysis Explorer to enable you to query and displays results at specific locations in the modeling window.
Blank
- Nesting
You can now compare multiple nesting scenarios by specifying under the Preferences dialog the number of top results to be included in the report.

Resolved Issues

Undo/redo issues when in the Constrain tool have been resolved.
The Fill Hole tool has been made more robust.
Issues related to the scaling of .iges files exported from Click2Form have been resolved
