CINEMA 4D is a 3D modeling, animation and rendering application developed by MAXON Computer GmbH of Friedrichsdorf, Germany. It is capable of procedural and polygonal/subd modeling, animating, lighting, texturing, rendering, and common features found in 3D modelling applications.
CINEMA 4D R15 delivers outstanding enhancements to many aspects of your 3D workflow, from text creation and modeling to advanced rendering optimizations and an all-new network rendering solution. Release 15 contains much more than just new features – it demonstrates persistent progress in direct response to your feedback.
Windows Vista, 7 or 8 (64-bit only) on Intel or AMD processors with SSE3 support; Mac OS X 10.6.8 or higher on 64-bit Intel-based Macs; 1024 MB available RAM, DVD ROM drive. A standard DVD installation can require up to 7 GB of hard drive space. The software must be registered for unrestricted use.

Graphics cards
Generally speaking, CINEMA 4D and BodyPaint 3D support all OpenGL 2.1-capable graphics cards. Nevertheless, we recommend using a dedicated 3D graphics card with an AMD or NVIDIA chip set. High-performance graphics chips are currently already available in mid-range laptops.
Make sure that you always use the most current certified graphics card driver (no beta versions).

Regarding NVIDIA 3D Vision
A quad buffered graphics card is required to use NVIDIA's 3D Vision Shutter glasses for viewing the stereoscopic display in CINEMA 4D.
